Description: Karl Fritsch Materia Prima 2018 is a distinctive, terroir‑driven orange wine from Austria’s Wagram region. Made from a field blend of Gewürztraminer and Grüner Veltliner, the grapes are hand‑harvested and spontaneously fermented on skins in concrete eggs and large wooden barrels, giving the wine its characteristic intense golden/orange colour and texture. On the nose, expect complex aromas of orange peel, herbs, rose and fennel, with hints of candied citrus and spice.
