Classic & Structured — Sigalas Kavalieros 2022 comes from a single, highly regarded vineyard parcel in Imerovigli — one of the highest-altitude sites on Santorini. This Assyrtiko is crafted with great care: grapes are hand-picked and sorted, gently pressed whole-cluster, then fermented and aged on lees in stainless-steel tanks for 18 months, producing a refined yet powerful wine. On the nose and palate, expect a bright lemon- to straw-yellow hue, followed by complex aromas of lemon, orange, citrus blossom, and island herbs, layered over a pronounced mineral, flinty/saline character typical of volcanic Santorini soils. On the palate it delivers lively acidity, a medium-to-full body, and a long, saline-minerally finish — refreshing, deeply textured, and elegant.
